Tiny – Instructions

Install and start
DEB package 0.17.0 targets Linux on amd64. Install it from your Downloads directory:
sudo apt install ./tiny_0.17.0_amd64.debThen launch Tiny from the application menu. The package includes a private Node.js 22 runtime and preserves the system Node.js installation. GTK 4, GStreamer, suitable plugins and access to your camera and microphone are required.
Camera and live preview
Select a camera in Settings. Preview starts automatically after device discovery and a camera change. Settings and live output use separate windows. View → Show live output reopens the preview; F11 toggles full screen.
Photos, video and audio
Use Save image or a photo series under Image format. The Video page offers recording format, quality, filters and duration. Audio provides microphone selection and separate audio recordings. Available formats depend on installed codecs. Camera changes, image format and filters are locked during recording.
Profiles and quitting
Save, load and delete camera profiles. File → Quit closes the application and returns used Tiny cameras to sleep. Closing an individual window only hides that window.
Limitations
Controls and image formats come from the driver. Gimbal, tracking and positions depend on the camera; standard webcams do not offer these OBSBOT functions. On Linux, Tiny 2 position feedback depends on the kernel. Other camera models and firmware versions have not all been tested.
