pcmonitor – Instructions
Install and start
Download the DEB and install it with your package manager, or run this command in your Downloads directory:
sudo apt install ./pcmonitor_0.5.0_all.debInstallation creates two desktop and application menu launchers. “pcmonitor” starts without an administrator prompt. “pcmonitor – Administrator” requests privileges once to collect extended hardware information.
Devices and RAM
Select a hardware section on the left. The detail view shows available device and source information. RAM information depends on firmware data supplied by the system. Unavailable values are marked accordingly.
Permissions and reports
The interface runs without root privileges. Administrator mode elevates only the hardware query. Exported reports may contain hardware identifiers; review their contents before sharing.
Language and help
German and English interfaces and offline help are included. Eight additional language packs can be downloaded; they are machine-translated and have not yet received native-language review.
